The Web Content Restriction is the only reason which is responsible for it, but, modifying the settings to enable the mode is a simple task. If you don’t know how to fix the missing private tab in Safari, then you don’t have to worry and follow the steps mentioned below.

How to Fix Missing Private Tab in Safari on iOS

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iOS device.
  2. Go to Screen Time and tap on it.
  3. Select the Content & Privacy
  4. You will be prompted to enter Screen Time
  5. Enter the passcode which was previously called as Restriction passcode.
  6. Now, tap the Content Restrictions from the menu.
  7. Go to the Web Content and tap to open it.
  8. Tap on the Unrestricted Access
  9. Now, open the Safari
  10. Go to the tab-view or tap on (+) plus icon.
  11. You will see the Private

Remember that the method is applicable only when the restriction mode is enabled. There is a little effort in the process if you forgot your passcode and there is no way to regain the passcode. So if you are stuck with it particularly, then your iOS should be restored to remove the passcode.
